UK’s Largest Timber Frame Manufacturer Invests in Val-U-Therm Production Plant
Val-U-Therm’s production capacity has been given a major boost following the commissioning of a new production line by the Walker Timber Group, the UK’s largest timber frame manufacturing group. The new plant began operation towards the end of February at the Group’s Pattrick & Thompson facility in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
“Val-U-Therm represents an important addition to the Walker Timber Group product portfolio,” says the group’s Chief Executive, John Campbell. “We are delighted to be able to offer this innovative product across the UK.”
The Val-U-Therm manufacturing facility is incorporated into a state-of-the art Weinmann timber frame production line. This computer-controlled equipment has been designed to ensure that the end products it produces exhibit the highest levels of quality and performance.
The new production line represents a multi-million pound investment and shows the Walker Timber Group’s commitment to the development of sustainable building technology. Thanks to this new plant, Val-U-Therm’s UK-wide production capacity now stands at 5,000 units per year.
“This is an important and exciting step forward for Val-U-Therm,” says the company’s Managing Director Bryan Woodley. “The fact that the Walker Timber Group is integrating Val-U-Therm into its production line demonstrates its belief in our product and gives our technology the backing of one of the biggest names in the business.”
Thanks to the expertise of the Walker Timber Group team, the commissioning of the equipment at Wisbech went according to schedule and was delivered on budget. The production line is now in operation and is fulfilling orders for Val-U-Therm panels from customers around the country.
