Ecobuild 3 to 5 March 2015

Val-U-Therm is highlighting the most advanced thermally-efficient building solution using Scottish innovation and technology at the world’s biggest sustainable design, construction and built environment show.  The company will be exhibiting on the Scottish Pavilion (Stand S3100) at Ecobuild 2015.  This internationally-recognised event is due to take place at the ExCeL Arena, London from the 3rd to the 5th of March.
Val-U-Therm is the hybrid closed-panel building solution delivering exceptional thermal insulation and class-leading environmental sustainability in a cost-effective package. Developed by two of Scotland’s largest timber frame manufacturers Walker Timber & Scotframe, Val-U-Therm utilises the best of SIPS and timber frame technology combined with advanced materials science.

Manufactured as wall, floor and roof panels, Val-U-Therm® is constructed and assembled as a precisely engineered sandwich of sheathing boards, performance membranes and factory-injected very high performance insulation.  This Val-U-Therm® insulation is derived from recycled, renewable locally grown vegetable oil and provides U-values to 0.09 Wm2K; Y-values of 0.03 Wm2K and remarkable air tightness as low as 0.46 h-1.
The award-winning building system is third-party accredited under BBA certificate number 12/4892, durable for a minimum 60-year service life. Over 3,500 homes have been built using Val-U-Therm® since its launch on 1st June 2011 (over 1,500 in 2014).  It has been used for a broad spectrum of size and performance including one-off homes, schools and small to large volume private & affordable developments.  Val-U-Therm® has a network of three factories owned by Walker Timber Group, Scotframe Timber Engineering and Flight Timber and 14 sales offices offering UK-wide service.

“Ecobuild is the big one,” says Val-U-Therm’s Managing Director Bryan Woodley. “We are therefore delighted to be working with Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International to let the world know about the Val-U-Therm closed-panel building system and to underline our partnerships with some of Scotland’s most innovative construction companies.”
One of the highlights of the Ecobuild show will be a Scottish Pavilion press reception on the afternoon of Wednesday 4th March, where opinion formers will be invited to share a dram (or two) and find out about how Scotland is leading the field in sustainable building.
